Narconon Provides Drug Rehab For Pennsylvania Residents

According to recent statistics, of the more than 12 million residents in Pennsylvania, 823,000 citizens are struggling with substance abuse or dependence throughout the state. Of those individuals 252,000 people have reported that they needed drug rehab but were never admitted into a drug rehab program for help. There has been an average of only 70,000 treatment admissions per year within Pennsylvania with no reports on the effectiveness of drug rehab within the state.

Currently cocaine is the mostly widely abuse drug in the state but many Pennsylvania residents are getting hooked on drugs like methamphetamine, heroin and even marijuana on a daily basis. Other commonly abused drugs in the state are pharmaceutical drugs like Fentanyl, Hydrocodone and Oxy Contin that are all contributing to an increase in crime and pharmacy robberies that have forced Pennsylvania officials to take action placing stricter guidelines on the use of these drugs.

Obviously drug abuse in Pennsylvania has taken a toll on the entire state, but the only way to undo the damage that drug have done is through the implementation of drug rehab to help residents of the state.

Erica Catton, Director of Promotion for Narconon East U.S. and a former Pennsylvania resident has seen first-hand substance abuse has negatively affected the state of Pennsylvania. “I lived in a very small town in Pennsylvania,” she says. “As I grew up I saw more and more people getting hooked on drugs in the area, especially pharmaceutical drugs, and as a result this place that was once safe was no longer because of the crime and negative consequences that drug use brought to the area and unfortunately we didn’t have many effective drug treatment programs to help addicts. “

Ms. Catton knows that the only way to fully handle the drug problem is through a drug rehab program that gets results. One program that has been helping citizens of Pennsylvania and throughout the northeast with positive results is the Narconon Freedom Treatment Program . Narconon Freedom Program has been helping individuals overcome substance abuse for more than 7 years through its inpatient drug rehabilitation program that achieves a more than 70% success rate for permanent recovery from addiction.

With 33% of inmates being incarcerated in Pennsylvania for drug related offenses, it is clearer than ever that effective drug treatment will stop this ever-growing problem of addiction throughout Pennsylvania.
