Narconon Saves Life of Addict

Drug Rehabilitation through Narconon helped one addict get his life back.

Paul had spent 12 years being addicted to drugs. You name it, he took it; pills of all kinds, as well as, cocaine, heroin, ectasy, Oxycontin to name a few. He spent his life running from everything and everyone. He was literally falling apart. His family seeing Paul get more and more self-destructive, running into legal issues and losing his job contacted Narconon .

Paul started the Narconon program , and for the first time felt there was hope. "Knowing I was entering treatment was my first sense of relief in a long time," says Paul reflecting back one year after completing Narconon drug treatment. "My biggest win is that these days I actually believe in myself.  There is nothing I can’t handle that life brings my way."

The Narconon Program is a long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. Narconon only addresses the physical and mental aspects of addiction, but also gives one the skills in life to handle the problems and barriers in life that led to addiction in the first place. The treatment philosophy of Narconon is distinctly unique and starts with a cycle of addiction that takes place because of an underlying problem that drugs or alcohol become a solution for.

And whether it’s a 12 year addiction like Paul’s or one that lasts for a shorter or longer duration, drug treatment with Narconon allows the individual to fully recover from addiction and go on to become a stable, productive and ethics member of society.

This should be the goal of all effective drug rehabilitation.

Today Paul has just celebrated one year clean but there are millions who are still dealing with the tragedy of drug addiction. If you or someone you know is in need of a drug rehab program that gets results contact Narconon East U.S. at 877-237-3307.

Alcoholism No Longer A Problem For Narconon Graduate

Ex-alcohol addict gets and stays sober for 10 years thanks to Narconon drug rehab program.

Imagine feeling depressed, lazy and unmotivated every day of your life. Well this is exactly what Stephen Austin* experienced when he became addicted to alcohol. Now 10 years clean and sober, Stephen looks back on his life as a former alcoholic, and explains that the addiction caused him to drop out of college, quit his job and basically alienate everyone that cared about him.

The last straw was one night when Stephen was even pulled over for a DUI, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because that was when his parents found the drug and alcohol rehab program that saved his life. The name of the program was Narconon.

When Stephen arrived at the Narconon program he felt stuck and scared at first but as he started the program he felt tremendous sense of relief. Looking back on it Stephen explains what helped him the most, “I would say two parts for me.  The first was definitely the sauna program. It was amazing and completely life-changing.  The second would have to be fully understanding how to change conditions in life and realizing that I could actually be responsible for what happened to me.”

The Narconon program is a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program that achieves a success rate of more than 70% for permanent sobriety. Narconon has been helping people end addiction since 1966 and has had more than 25,000 graduates of their program just since 1995. The reason why Narconon is so successful in treating addiction is because it handles the problem on two levels – first tackling the physical aspect of addiction and using a sauna detoxification program to remove drug residues from the body thereby eliminating physical cravings.

The second part of the Narconon program handles the underlying issues of why the person started using drugs in the first place, and by using life skills therapy raises the ability of the individual so they no longer have to abuse drugs or alcohol.
Today, with 10 years of living drug- and alcohol-free, Stephen is successfully self-employed, has been married for 7 years, and says he has an “unbelievably beautiful and amazing” daughter.

“After doing a TON of research, I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that there is no other drug or alcohol treatment center that offers more to rehabilitate a person than Narconon,” claims Austin.

How to Find a Successful Drug Rehab

Thomas Stone* didn’t immediately have a solution when he suspected his daughter was addicted to drugs. “My daughter started to change,” he said, “we knew something was wrong and when we found out that it was heroin, we were scared she was going to die.” After consideration and research on addiction, Stone knew the only thing he could do to help his daughter was to get her into a drug rehab program. The problem now was finding the right type of treatment.

Like many families, the Stone’s checked local resources for successful drug treatment programs in their areas and were shocked to find out that there were no programs near their home that achieved a stable success rate for permanent recovery with their daughter’s type of addiction. Thomas Stone was an employee in the school system and also got a rude awakening when he saw the types and success rates of drug rehab programs covered by his health insurance. “I was concerned about short-term drug treatment,” he says. “I had seen many kids go to this type of treatment through the school system and I did not see many positive results. I didn’t want my daughter’s treatment to become some type of revolving door.”

But what came with the type of program they wanted for daughter was a price tag that at the time the Stone’s were sure if they wanted to pay or not.

“In our case we had to find something that was the most logical approach to handing our daughter’s heroin addiction,” says Mr. Stone. “We found a program called Narconon and we knew this was the right approach and the cost became secondary. People invest money in homes and cars all the time, so when it comes to your child’s life, it’s really a no-brainer.”

After making the difficult decision to send their daughter to private-pay, long-term residential drug treatment program, the Stone’s have never regretted their decision. Their daughter has just celebrated 8 years drug-free and is now happy and productive and most importantly, stably off drugs. “We know Narconon helped our daughter,” says Mr. Stone. “It was the right thing to do.”
The Narconon drug rehab program has stably helped more than 25,000 addicts recover from drug and alcohol addiction just since 1995. The Narconon program achieves a more than 70% success rate for permanent recovery and has for 43 years. The program currently operates over 120 centers in 40 different countries that handle all types of drug and/or alcohol addictions.

Based on his personal experience, Mr. Stone recommends three things to families searching for drug treatment for a loved one. The first is family support, the second is believing in the program and type of drug treatment that you choose and the third is not enabling your loved one that is addicted to drugs. “Drug treatment is commitment,” says Mr. Stone. “I had to tell my daughter that she had to make that commitment when she went into treatment and that it was her responsibility to get better.”

Mr. Stone adds that finding out your child is addicted to drugs is one of the hardest things in the world to face. Today he is grateful that his family found the right type of drug rehab program – that they found Narconon.
